General Job DescriptionResponsibilities include the ability to prep and clean steel for painting; applying primer; painting surfaces of equipment using a two part poly-urethane product; application of paint by a conventional low pressure spray system; unloading parts to and from paint booth using overhead crane and forklift; troubleshoot and diagnose paint problems; maintain equipment and area in a clean and safe condition.
Essential Job Requirements Two or more years painting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but willing to train.
Ability to use a half-face mask or full face shield air-purifying respirator.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work standing on hard surface (e.
g.
concrete) for up to 12 hours per day in hot or cold environment.
Good hand and eye coordination Good visual acuity.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to climb, bends, kneels, crouch or stoop to perform various functions of the position.
Ability to reach with hands and arms.
Must have excellent attendance history.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends if requested.
Must be able to read and understand English.
Must be able to perform basic shop math functions and use standard measuring devices.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
This position is typically in a manufacturing setting and requires standing for long periods of time.
Requires good hand-eye coordinator, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
Ability to manipulate (carry, lift, move) objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
